Nottingham: The words like minnows and mighty have few takers when it comes to the T20 format and the same has been proved by Netherlands which ousted the England at their home ground.
As India embarks on defending its title of T20 World Cup, beginning with Bangladesh, Team Indian should not be embedded with 0complacency and over confidence.
Twenty20 Format calls for power packed performances leaving no space for classy cricket and it is shot anticipation mixed with power which counts the most.
The Batsmen comes with the only thought of mauling the bowlers instead of playing some wristy and technical shots. Most of the shots played are determined to be crossed over the fence.
Team India also doesn't lack hard-hitters and has line up, including Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh Yusuf Pathan, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir.
Sehwag is likely to miss the opener against Bangladesh owing to his shoulder injury, but his absence could be substantiated with Rohit Sharma, who has delivered good show in the warm-up matches.
Team India could open with Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma if the weather allows the game as rain was reported in Nottingham.
Bangladesh on the other hand boast of players like Mohammed Ashraful, Mashrafe Mortaza, Rubel Hossain Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal who could change the face of game.
T20 World Cup 2007 saw Bangladesh reaching in the Super Eight, defeated West Indies in League matches.
Albeit, all the speculations and guesses, the T20 matches come up with unexpected results.

Dhoni pips Sachin as 'most valuable' IPL player
Sachin Tendulkar may have just been immortalised in wax by Madame Tussauds of London, but Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni has beaten him

The Chennai Super Kings’ skipper attracted the highest individual insurance cover of $10.5 million, or Rs 52 crore, as the eight IPL team owners finalised policies for all 120 auctioned players against personal accidents, mediclaim and baggage losses with Oriental Insurance Company (OIC) for a total cover of $286 million, or Rs 1,340 crore, an OIC official said.
The team franchisees have also taken additional cover for match cancellations, at an average of Rs 7 crore per match, totalling a sum assured of Rs 413 crore, said the OIC official who requested anonymity.
He, however, refused to reveal the premium for the policies that provide a total cover of more than Rs 1,750 crore. Oriental Insurance structured the entire cover along with its re-insurers. Six franchisees have already paid the premium, said the official.
Tendulkar excited over Madame Tussauds' honour
It was another record but of a different kind for master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Madame Tussauds flew the cricketer's wax figure some 7,000 km to meet the legend in person here on Monday and made him the first Indian sportsman to be featured by the London-headquartered studio.
And Tendulkar was truly delighted, coming face to face with the likeness of his wax figure at the downtown Taj Lands End Hotel.
"I am very impressed with the figure and delighted to be honoured by Madame Tussauds," said the renowned cricketer, who holds several records to his name, including the batsman with the highest number of Test centuries.
"It is the first time we have ever launched a figure overseas. But we really wanted Sachin to see his likeness before it 'meets' the public," said Liz Edwards of Madame Tussauds, London.
"The figure will now be returning to London to join the ranks of sporting greats past and present in our sports zone. There will also be a cricketing challenge around the figure where guests can test their skills against the master-blaster'," she said.
"We know it will be a huge hit with fans."
Tendulkar had met the sculptors of Madame Tussauds here earlier in the year to be measured and photographed for the creation of his figure. He also donated the cricket whites that his striking wax double is wearing.
The cricketer follows in the footsteps of Bollywood giants Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, who have been honoured by Madame Tussauds.
According to the London-based firm, Tendulkar's figure was created at their studios in west London over a three-month period, starting with a a perfect clay sculpture from which the moulds are made for an amazingly life-like wax figure.
Then it was over to a team of skilled hair and colour artists to insert the hair by hand and to build life-like skin tones using layer upon layer of oil paint - every freckle, mole, dimple and wrinkle are accurately reproduced, the firm said.
"London and India share a great passion for cricket and we are delighted that Madame Tussauds has unveiled a figure of Sachin Tendulkar," said Sally Chatterjee, the interim chief executive of Visit London, the agency that promotes tourism to the British capital.
"With the International Cricket Council's World Twenty20 coming to London this June more cricket fans will have the opportunity to come face to face with one of their sporting heroes."
Madame Tussauds, which has its attractions in London, New York, Las Vegas, Washington, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hong Kong and Shanghai, has been making wax figures for over 150 years.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar (born April 24, 1973 in Mumbai) is an Indian cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. In 2002, Wisden ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, next to Donald Bradman, and the second greatest one day international (ODI) batsman of all time, next to Viv Richards. Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in both Test matches and ODIs, and also the batsman with the most centuries in either form of the game. The first player to score fifty centuries in all international cricket combined, he now has more than eighty international centuries.
On October 17, 2008, when he surpassed Brian Lara's record for the most runs scored in Test Cricket, he also became the first batsman to score 12,000 runs in that form of the game, having also been the third batsman and first Indian to pass 11,000 runs in Test cricket. He was also the first player to score 10,000 runs in one-day internationals, and also the first player to cross every subsequent 1000-run mark that has been crossed in ODI cricket history. In the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, Tendulkar surpassed Australia's Allan Border to become the player to cross the 50-run mark the most number of times in Test cricket history, and also the second ever player to score 10 Test centuries against Australia, after only Sir Jack Hobbs of England more than 70 years back. Tendulkar has been honored with the Padma Vibhushan award, India's second highest civilian award, and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, India's highest sporting honor.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, sometimes abbreviated as MS Dhoni (born 7 July 1981 in Ranchi, Bihar) is an Indian cricketer and the current captain of the Indian team. Initially recognized as an extravagantly flamboyant and destructive batsman, Dhoni has come to be regarded as one of the coolest heads to captain the Indian ODI side. Under his captaincy, India won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, CB Series of 2007-08 and the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2008 in which they beat Australia 2-0. Five Indians in Dhoni led Wisden Dream Team
The prestigious Wisden Cricketers' Almanac named Mahendra Singh Dhoni as skipper of a Dream Test XI that includes Indians Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan.
Sehwag was chosen as the 'Leading Cricketer in the World for 2008'.
The explosive opener became the sixth player to be honoured with the award instituted in 2004.
Dhoni has taken India to the threshold of world's best, leading India to three series wins on trot -- against world champions Australia, England and New Zealand. He has won five of his first seven Tests and drawn two.
India's recent success in Tests was recognised by the prestigious publication with as many as five players making the cut.
Australia's Ponting and Mitchell Johnson, South African Graeme Smith and Dale Steyn, West Indies' Shivnaraine Chanderpaul and England's Kevin Pietersen are the other players of the Dream Test XI selected by former cricketers Ravi Shastri (India), Ian Bishop (West Indies) and Ian Smith (New Zealand).
The three former players picked the best eleven taking into consideration the opposition, performances in 2008, the amount of Test cricket they played in the year, the quality of their opponents, and that indefinable blend of class and form.
"The 146th edition of the Wisden Cricketers' Almanac has nominated an elite team. The team which has been selected with Test match cricket - the sport's ultimate format," according to Wisden editor, Scyld Berry.
Berry said that Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the "unanimous choice as wicketkeeper and No. 7."
"He won the votes of Bishop and Shastri as captain. Smith, however, gave his vote as captain to Graeme Smith who led South Africa to victory over Australia in Australia sealed the deal," Berry said.
"Bishop selected him because of his charisma, which seems to permeate the Indian dressing-room and bring the best out of his team. The former West Indian pacer also noted that India lost in Sri Lanka when Dhoni sat out the series.
"Among other reasons, Shastri liked the way he handles the media in a media-frenzied country, and is immensely composed," Berry was quoted as saying in Cricinfo.
Smith was chosen as the vice-captain of the team.
The opening pair were unanimously agreed to be Sehwag and Smith, the two leading Test run-scorers of 2008.
Gautam Gambhir, Sehwag's opening partner, who averaged 70 against formidable opposition, was also a strong candidate along with other left-handed openers, Chris Gayle, Simon Katich and Andrew Strauss. But Smith was the pick.
Wisden said that Sehwag has taken opening Test innings to a "new level."
"Virender Sehwag had to beat off the strongest of challenges by Graeme Smith to become the Leading Cricketer in the World for 2008. He sought, and often achieved, mental domination from the first ball by scoring faster than any other opening batsman has ever done on a regular basis in Test cricket," it said.
Tendulkar secured the votes of Shastri and Smith to be No. 4. Bishop went for the promise (and all-round fielding) of A.B. de Villiers.
Harbhajan won a three-way tie on the convener's casting vote. He took 63 wickets in the year and played an important role in two hard-fought series against Australia.
Zaheer pipped Ryan Sidebottom and Ishant Sharma for the new-ball slot.
The left-handed seamer has been architect of India's recent win at home and abroad. Zaheer can use either a new or old ball to full effect and can also bowl long spells.
