Sania moves to 59th position in doubles rankings
Sania Mirza's good show in the doubles has catapulted her 11 places to the 59th position in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings released on Monday.
The 22-year-old Indian along with Chuang Chia-Jung of Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) won the MPS Group doubles title in Florida on Sunday.
Chuang jumped three places to be at the 14th spot. The two also reached the semi-final at Miami last week.
Sania's singles rankings, however, remains unchanged at 100.
In the men's singles, India's No.1 Somdev Devvarman has climbed a rung to be at 149 while Prakash Amritraj has slipped three places to 192.
In the men's doubles ranking, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are static at sixth and 10th.
